The SHIB burn goal is 100 million tokens daily for all of 2023. Shiba Inu token failed to meet this target on the 3rd of January, while single burn records were being set on the first. Now, the daily 100 Million $SHIB Burn minimum is back on course.
Shiba Inu Coins Burned Yesterday
Yesterday, January 4th, only 6 transactions were completed. That’s 5 less than the 11 done on the ‘fail’ day, January 3rd. However, 2 cryptocurrency holders made sure their burns tipped the scale.
Just after the day started, at 12:46am one wallet (0xb333ac0e6fe5e92fe5e01cbe56e0a682d021117a) sent 30,151,901 Shiba Inu tokens to the burn wallet 0x95ad61b0a150d79219dcf64e1e6cc01f0b64c4ce.
Later in the afternoon Wednesday, another user contributed 76,669,796 $SHIB to the same inactive wallet. This transaction was completed nearly 16 hours later, 4:52PM (EST).
These two transactions alone were enough to complete the goal of burning 100 million tokens daily. However, 4 other burns were done as well, totalling 5,839,205 token.
By January 4th’s end, the day’s Shiba Inu tokens burning reached a sum of 112,660,902.
January 5th $SHIB Burn
Today, the upward trend is continuing. The Shib Army, who wants to move the token’s average price to above US$0.005, may be able to move the coin’s value forward this year.
There have already been 8 token burn transactions completed Thursday as of 1:49PM (EST). This trumps the total numbers of yesterday’s transactions. The sum tokens burned from the increased transaction count is only 13,273,407.
Though there’s more transactions than the 4th, none of these were over 5-million tokens. And the total of coins burned is not near 100-Million.
Oddly there have been 3 transactions for the exact same amount — 2.6 Million each. Each of these were done from 1 user. That repeat burner is the owner of Shiba Inu ($SHIB) wallet (ID) 0x556219c84974ada96e9382e041bac26398d9e214.
Why they split the amounts into 3, is not clear. The total sent ws 7.8M coins.
It will take at least 87-million Shib Inu tokens more being burned to reach 100-Million before tomorrow, January 6th. Only 9 hours are left for the Shib Army to keep the daily goals met.
