SHIB Burn started very strongly entering 2023, the Year of the Water Rabbit. The new record for single burn is close to 150-million. Second and third place burns were over 50 million. Now it appears the new year’s vibes have calmed down a bit. Tuesday was the first day the SHIB burn rate fell below 100-million per day.
The SHIB Army must have had the party favors and excitement wear off. Only 11 Shiba Inu holders sent tokens to the dead wallets on January 3rd.
Miniature SHIB Burns?
And while every burn counts, at least 3 burns were below 400 tokens according to SHIBBurn.com. The minuscule transfers of 372, 372, and 332 coins were valued at less than US$0.004 each.
Perhaps this data is incorrect however, as few exchanges will process such a transaction. And the cost of the transaction could be more than the value of the tokens itself.
Still, the total of all burning activities combined is 38,947,434 or less than 39 million SHIB.
Tuesday’s eleven SHIB burns in descending order are as follows:
- 18,887,244
- 11,181,405
- 6,229,163
- 1,245,915
- 679,219.
- 673,194
- 25,212
- 25,000
- 372
- 372
- 338
The top burn was just over 12% of the amount of the year’s top burn thus far.
Coming Fire
Music artists participating in the $SHIB burn, such as C.KHiD, should soon be providing a lift to the daily averages soon. The artists behind Spotify burn lists will get quarterly royalties issued soon and volunteer a portion of earnings to the Shib Army cause.
And while Tuesday’s numbers were lower than expected, Wednesday’s Shiba Inu burning has already surpassed 34.5 Million tokens as of 11:30AM (est).
